BOILED EGGS IN TAMARIND SAUCE
This egg masala goes very well with any kind of rice. It is a very well known recipe. You can also have this with simple white rice.
Ingredients
Eggs – 1
Onion – 1
Tomato paste – 3 tsp orĀ 1 big tomato
Tamarind paste – 1/8 tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Corriander powder – 1 tsp
Cilantro
Method
1. Add enough water to the eggs and little salt (adding salt prevents the egg from breaking) and cook it for 10 mins. Remove the egg’s shells and make some slits over the eggs or cut it into halves.
2. Heat little oil in pan , add the sliced onion and fry until transparent. Add the chopped tomato or the tomato paste and fry until the tomato is done. Now add the chilly and the corriander powder and fry until oil seperates from the masala.
3. Add the tamarind juice and enough salt (If you want can add little water). Once it is boiling add the boiled eggs and the chopped cilantro and enjoy with your rice.
