Here is a simple vegetable pie .I know this is not looking like a pie but like a pizza. Don’t laugh at me. I am sure it won’t taste like pizza but like a vegetable pie.

Ingredients
For Stuffing :
Cabbage - 200 gm
Carrot -100 gm
Beans -100 gm
Cauliflower- 100 gm
Peas- 100 gm
Onion- 100 gm
Ginger/Garlic paste – 1tbsp
Green Chillies -2
Tomato – 1 sliced
Red chilly powder – 1tbsp
Salt to taste
Dhania powder- 1 tsp
Garam Masala -1/2 tsp
Oil 2-3 table spoon
Green Coriander- 2 tsp (chopped)
Dough for the pie
Potato -1/2 kg (boiled and mashed )
2 slice Bread
1/4 cup Milk
Chopped green Coriander
Salt to taste 2-3 tbsp
Bread Crumbs Butter 20 gm
Method:
For stuffing:
Finely chop all the vegetables. Heat oil and fry onion ,ginger /garlic and green chillies in it till golden brown. Now add the tomato and once it is done add the red chilly powder, dhania powder, garam masala . Now take a small portion of this masala to mix with the mashed potato. Now add the chopped vegetables with the remaining masala and cook till it is done. Now garnish with cilantro. (It should not be too watery. If u need water add little bit. )
For making the pie:
Add the mashed potato with the reserved small portion of masala. Soak the bread slices in water and add it to the masala. Now add enough salt and the chopped corriander and make it a smooth dough. Now divide the dough into two portions. One for the base of the pie and the other for the top. Grease the pie pan with butter or oil, spread the dough for the base and place the vegetable mixture on the top and cover the top with the second portion of the dough. Now sprinkle some bread crumbs on the top . Bake this in the oven on 350degree for 20 mins.
Receipe adopt from Bawarchi. I made this pie one month before. But I think this is the suitable occassion to post this pie.
