Ingredients
Puff pastry sheets – 3

To make the filling (this is my friends recipe, I tried it and came out well)
Method 1
Sliced red onion – 1 medium size
Green peas – one handful (Soak it for 3 hrs  )
Red chilly powder – 1/2tbsp(according to your taste)
Garam masala – 1/4 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tbsp
Chopped mint and corriander

Soak the peas for 3 hrs and pressure cook it(just one whistle) with some salt. Heat oil in a pan add the sliced onions and fry until done and add the red chilly powder, garam masala and turmeric. Cook it for 3 more minutes now add the cooked peas without any water. Add salt if you need. Finally add the chopped mint and cilantro.

Method 2
Potato – 1 medium size
green peas – 1/4 hand
Onion – 1/2 chopped
Tomato – 1/2 chopped
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tbsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tbsp
Garlic – 1 chopped finely
green chilly -1 chopped
Amchur/Mango powder – 1/4 tbsp optional
Salt for taste
Cilantro to garnish

Pressure cook the potato and roughly mashed it. Cook the green peas seperately.Heat oil in a pan add the chopped onions and then garlic and green chillies. Once they are done add the tomato. Now add the turmeric powder, garam masala and amchur powder and mix everything together and cook for 5 mins. Now add the mashed potato and the cooked peas and add enough salt and chopped cilantro.

Baking the puffs
Cut each sheet diagonally into two pieces. Place a spoon of filling in each piece and fold it and press the edges , so the filling won’t come out. Pre heat the oven for 350 degree and now arrange the puffs in a baking pan and place it in the lower rack of the oven and bake it for 10mins. After 10 mins place it in the upper rack and bake it for another 5 mins. Now the layered puffs are ready to serve. Serve hot and enjoy the winter.
