Ingredients
1. Bittergourd -1 cut into rounds.
2.Onion – 1/4
3.Garlic – 2
4.Tamarind paste -1 tbsp
To grind
Shallot onions – 1/4
Corriander seeds – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds -1 tbsp
Red chillies – 3
Coconut – 4 tbsp
Pepper – 1/2 tbsp
Seasoning
Mustard
Cumin
Fenugreek
Curry leaves
Red chilly – 1
Jaggery
Method
1. Fry all the ingredients mentioned in “to grind” with little oil and grind into a smooth paste.
2.Heat Oil and pop mustard, cumin , methi and curry leaves. Add chopped onion and then chopped garlic and fry for few minutes.
3.Now add the Bittergourd pieces fry until they are soft.Now add the ground paste and add the tamarind juice and enough water and allow it to boil. Add salt and finally the jaggery .
