Brussel Sprout Masala

Brussel Sprouts
When I first saw this, I thought this one as baby cabbage. It looks like that.  So I bought this and cooked it in my own way. Very easy to cook and a good side dish with sambhar. Hope you also try this one.

Ingredients
Brussel sprouts – 15 count
Onion – 1/2
Garlic – 3 pods
Tomato – 2 medium size
Chilly powder – 3/4 tbsp
Tamarind paste -1/4 tbsp
cilantro to garnish
oil – 4 tbsp
salt to taste

Method:
1.Wash and cut each Brussel sprout into 4 or 6 pieces. (depends on how big it is. Small one tastes very good than the bigger one). Add some water with it and microwave for 5 mins. Drain the water and keep the brussel sprout.

2.Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard then add sliced onion and sliced Garlic.Fry until it become transculent. Now add the chopped tomatoes and mashed the tomato well.
3.Now add the chilly powder according to your taste. Once you see the oil coming out from the gravy add the cooked brussel sprout and add the tamarind paste and salt.
4.Allow it to cook for 10mins until it becomes soft. Stir it once in a while. Dont allow it to burn. Garnish with chopped cilantro.

    Anamicka, Thanks for stopping by!
I couldn’t believe how nobody like this.
This was a high hit in all my parties. Some of my friends
mailed me to give the recipe. I don’t what was wrong with your preparation. But if cooked in the proper way (using tender brussel sprouts) it is a good vegetable.
(I Only post a recipe if that is good and recommended by others)
